Enabling EsnekPOS
Connect an EsnekPOS merchant account with your Merchant serial number and Merchant key, test 3D Secure checkout in sandbox mode, and set cart limits.
Updated
Connect EsnekPOS under Settings > Payments to accept 3D Secure card payments and process order refunds through your EsnekPOS virtual POS account.
Before you start
- Sign in as the store owner or with a staff account that has permission to manage Payments. Staff accounts without Payments permission cannot open the EsnekPOS settings page.
- Have an active EsnekPOS merchant account. EsnekPOS is a Türkiye virtual POS provider; complete merchant onboarding in the EsnekPOS portal (
pos.esnekpos.com) before accepting live payments, and verify that foreign-currency acceptance is enabled on your EsnekPOS account if your store charges in USD, EUR, or GBP. - Confirm that your store currency is supported by the EsnekPOS integration:
EUR,GBP,TRYorUSD. While this guide uses USD examples, a USD store currency does not replace EsnekPOS's merchant eligibility requirements. - Obtain your live or test MERCHANT identifier and MERCHANT_KEY from your EsnekPOS merchant portal or the EsnekPOS test environment documentation.
Open the EsnekPOS setup
- In your Nevuto admin, go to Settings > Payments.
- Click Add payment in the upper-right corner, then select Add payment provider.
- In the Add payment method modal, enter EsnekPOS in Enter payment method. Clear any category tab filter if it hides the result.
- Select the EsnekPOS card to open its setup form.
If EsnekPOS is already configured on your store, click its row on Settings > Payments or open the row's three-dot menu and select Manage. Opening the setup form does not connect or activate EsnekPOS until you submit your credentials. Select any screenshot to view it at full size.
Match EsnekPOS credentials to the Nevuto fields
In your EsnekPOS merchant portal (pos.esnekpos.com for live or postest.esnekpos.com for test), open your integration settings to copy your MERCHANT identifier and MERCHANT_KEY. See EsnekPOS's payment integration guide for how EsnekPOS authenticates API requests.
Match your EsnekPOS credentials to the fields in Nevuto:
- Merchant serial number: Your live EsnekPOS MERCHANT identifier.
- Merchant key: Your live EsnekPOS MERCHANT_KEY secret.
- Sandbox merchant serial number (inside Sandbox mode): Your test EsnekPOS MERCHANT identifier.
- Sandbox merchant key (inside Sandbox mode): Your test EsnekPOS MERCHANT_KEY secret.
Both fields for the active mode are required. Keep your Merchant key private and out of screenshots, emails and support tickets.
Configure sandbox mode
- In the EsnekPOS setup form under Configure API keys, click Sandbox mode to expand the test fields.
- Paste your test MERCHANT value into Sandbox merchant serial number.
- Paste your test MERCHANT_KEY into Sandbox merchant key. You can leave the live fields blank while setting up only sandbox testing.
- Turn on Enable sandbox mode so Nevuto connects to the EsnekPOS test environment (
posservicetest.esnekpos.com). - Turn on Enable payment status when you want EsnekPOS offered at checkout during testing.
- Review Payment Limits if you want to restrict EsnekPOS by cart total.
- Click Submit in the upper-right corner and wait for the confirmation toast.
When you click Submit, Nevuto verifies that both fields for the active mode are filled in before saving. Because saving does not send a live network test request to EsnekPOS, you must run a test checkout to verify that EsnekPOS accepts your credentials. On a successful first save, Nevuto returns to Settings > Payments. Reopen EsnekPOS to confirm that your values were stored.
In the Payments list, Active or Inactive indicates whether customers see EsnekPOS at checkout, while Sandbox or Live shows which credential pair is active.
This screenshot shows an unsaved example. All four credential fields are intentionally empty and Enable payment status is off. Enter your own EsnekPOS test credentials before clicking Submit.
Test the 3D Secure payment flow
After saving your sandbox settings, test a complete 3D Secure card payment and return path before switching to live credentials. Review EsnekPOS's test environment and test cards guide for official test merchant credentials, approved test card numbers and error-simulation cards. Never enter a real payment card in sandbox mode.
To run your own merchant test after saving sandbox credentials:
- Add a product to your storefront cart in a supported currency (
EUR,GBP,TRYorUSD) and proceed to checkout. - Select EsnekPOS as the payment method, enter one of EsnekPOS's official test cards, and submit the order.
- Complete the 3D Secure verification step shown by the EsnekPOS test environment and wait to be redirected back to your store.
- Confirm that the order is marked as paid in Nevuto and appears as paid in your EsnekPOS test portal (
postest.esnekpos.com) with the matching order amount. - Run a second test using one of EsnekPOS's error-simulation test cards or cancel the 3D Secure prompt to confirm that declined or cancelled attempts return to checkout without marking the order as paid.
Warning Because saving settings only checks that the fields are non-empty, always complete a test checkout before enabling live payments.
Set payment limits
Use Payment Limits to control which cart totals can use EsnekPOS at checkout. Turn on the Payment Limits switch and enter a Minimum Cart Amount and Maximum Cart Amount in your store currency. The minimum amount cannot exceed the maximum amount.
Tip The $50–$500 USD range shown above is a prepared unsaved example, not a saved store setting or required range. Turn Payment Limits off if you do not want a custom cart-total restriction in Nevuto. Click Submit after editing limits and reopen the form to confirm they were stored.
Switch to live payments
After your sandbox tests pass and your live EsnekPOS merchant account is approved:
- Sign in to your live EsnekPOS merchant portal (
pos.esnekpos.com) and copy your production MERCHANT identifier and MERCHANT_KEY. - In Nevuto, open Settings > Payments and select EsnekPOS.
- Paste your production MERCHANT identifier into Merchant serial number and your production MERCHANT_KEY into Merchant key.
- Expand Sandbox mode and turn off Enable sandbox mode so Nevuto connects to
posservice.esnekpos.com. - Confirm Enable payment status and Payment Limits are set as intended.
- Click Submit and verify that Settings > Payments lists EsnekPOS as Active in Live mode. Reopen EsnekPOS to confirm your live credentials are saved.
Your test credentials can remain in the sandbox fields; turning off Enable sandbox mode switches Nevuto to your live credentials.
Edit, refund, or deactivate EsnekPOS
Open EsnekPOS from Settings > Payments (or select Manage from the row's three-dot menu ) any time you need to rotate credentials, switch environments or adjust cart limits. Submit stays disabled until you change a field on the form.
You can issue full or partial refunds for EsnekPOS orders directly from the order details page in Nevuto Admin, where EsnekPOS handles same-day cancellations or post-settlement refunds automatically.
To stop offering EsnekPOS at checkout without deleting your credentials, turn off Enable payment status and click Submit, or open the three-dot menu on the EsnekPOS row in Settings > Payments and select Deactivate. Choosing Delete from the three-dot menu removes the saved EsnekPOS configuration from your store. Deactivating or deleting EsnekPOS only affects new checkouts and does not cancel or refund past orders.
