Enabling Paratika

Connect a Paratika merchant account with your Merchant serial number, API username, and API password, test 3D Secure checkout in sandbox mode, and set cart limits.

Updated

Connect Paratika under Settings > Payments to accept 3D Secure card payments and process order refunds or same-day voids through your Paratika virtual POS account.

Before you start

  • Sign in as the store owner or with a staff account that has permission to manage Payments. Staff accounts without Payments permission cannot open the Paratika settings page.
  • Have an active Paratika merchant account with an API user configured in your Paratika Merchant Panel. Paratika is a Türkiye payment service provider; complete Paratika's merchant onboarding before accepting live payments, and confirm that foreign-currency collection is enabled on your Paratika account if your store charges in USD, EUR, or GBP.
  • Confirm that your store currency is supported by the Paratika integration: EUR, GBP, TRY or USD. While this guide uses USD examples, a USD store currency does not replace Paratika's merchant eligibility requirements.
  • Obtain your three API credentials (Merchant ID, API Username, and API Password) for test and live environments from your Paratika Merchant Panel. See the Paratika API v2 documentation for credential details.

Open the Paratika setup

  1. In your Nevuto admin, go to Settings > Payments.
  2. Click Add payment in the upper-right corner, then select Add payment provider.
  3. In the Add payment method modal, enter Paratika in Enter payment method. Clear any category tab filter if it hides the result.
  4. Select the Paratika card to open its setup form.

If Paratika is already configured on your store, click its row on Settings > Payments or open the row's three-dot menu and select Manage. Opening the setup form does not connect or activate Paratika until you submit your credentials. Select any screenshot to view it at full size.

Match Paratika credentials to the Nevuto fields

In your Paratika Merchant Panel (vpos.paratika.com.tr for live or entegrasyon.paratika.com.tr for integration testing), locate your merchant number and API user credentials. See the Paratika API v2 documentation for how Paratika pairs MERCHANT, MERCHANTUSER, and MERCHANTPASSWORD.

Match your Paratika values to the fields in Nevuto:

  • Merchant serial number: Your live Paratika Merchant ID (MERCHANT).
  • API username: Your live Paratika API Username (MERCHANTUSER, typically an email address assigned to your API user).
  • API password: Your live Paratika API Password (MERCHANTPASSWORD).
  • Sandbox merchant serial number (inside Sandbox mode): Your test Paratika Merchant ID (MERCHANT).
  • Sandbox API username (inside Sandbox mode): Your test Paratika API Username (MERCHANTUSER).
  • Sandbox API password (inside Sandbox mode): Your test Paratika API Password (MERCHANTPASSWORD).

All three fields for the active mode are required. Keep your API password private and out of screenshots, emails and support tickets.

Configure sandbox mode

  1. In the Paratika setup form under Configure API keys, click Sandbox mode to expand the test fields.
  2. Paste your test Merchant ID into Sandbox merchant serial number.
  3. Paste your test API Username into Sandbox API username.
  4. Paste your test API Password into Sandbox API password. You can leave the three live fields empty while setting up only sandbox testing.
  5. Turn on Enable sandbox mode so Nevuto connects to Paratika's integration test environment (entegrasyon.paratika.com.tr).
  6. Turn on Enable payment status when you want Paratika offered at checkout during testing.
  7. Review Payment Limits if you want to restrict Paratika by cart total.
  8. Click Submit in the upper-right corner and wait for the confirmation toast.

When you click Submit, Nevuto checks that all three fields for the active mode are filled in before saving. Because saving does not send a live network test call to Paratika, you must run a test checkout to verify that Paratika accepts your credentials. On a successful first save, Nevuto returns to Settings > Payments. Reopen Paratika to confirm that your credentials were stored.

In the Payments list, Active or Inactive indicates whether customers see Paratika at checkout, while Sandbox or Live shows which credential set is active.

This screenshot shows an unsaved example. All six credential fields are intentionally empty and Enable payment status is off. Enter your own Paratika test credentials before clicking Submit.

Test the 3D Secure payment flow

After saving your sandbox settings, test a complete 3D Secure card payment and return path before switching to live credentials. Review the test card numbers and 3D Secure test instructions in the Paratika API v2 documentation or your Paratika test merchant panel (entegrasyon.paratika.com.tr). Never use a real payment card in sandbox mode.

To run your own merchant test after saving sandbox credentials:

  1. Add a product to your storefront cart in a supported currency (EUR, GBP, TRY or USD) and proceed to checkout.
  2. Select Paratika as the payment method, enter a Paratika test card, and submit the order.
  3. Complete the 3D Secure verification step on Paratika's test environment and wait to be redirected back to your store.
  4. Confirm that the order is marked as paid in Nevuto and appears as approved in your Paratika test merchant panel with the matching order amount.
  5. Run a second test where you cancel the 3D Secure prompt or use a declined test card to verify that failed or cancelled attempts return to checkout without marking the order as paid.

Warning Because saving settings only verifies that the three credential fields are non-empty, always complete a test checkout round-trip before going live.

Set payment limits

Use Payment Limits to control which cart totals can use Paratika at checkout. Turn on the Payment Limits switch and enter a Minimum Cart Amount and Maximum Cart Amount in your store currency. The minimum amount cannot exceed the maximum amount.

Tip The $50–$500 USD range shown above is a prepared unsaved example, not a saved store setting or required range. Turn Payment Limits off if you do not want a custom cart-total restriction in Nevuto. Click Submit after editing limits and reopen the form to confirm they were stored.

Switch to live payments

After your sandbox tests pass and your live Paratika merchant account is ready:

  1. Sign in to your live Paratika Merchant Panel (vpos.paratika.com.tr) and copy your production Merchant ID, API Username, and API Password.
  2. In Nevuto, open Settings > Payments and select Paratika.
  3. Paste your production credentials into Merchant serial number, API username, and API password.
  4. Expand Sandbox mode and turn off Enable sandbox mode so Nevuto connects to vpos.paratika.com.tr.
  5. Confirm Enable payment status and Payment Limits are set as intended.
  6. Click Submit and verify that Settings > Payments lists Paratika as Active in Live mode. Reopen Paratika to confirm your live credentials are saved.

Your test credentials can remain in the sandbox fields; turning off Enable sandbox mode switches Nevuto to your live credentials.

Edit, refund, or deactivate Paratika

Open Paratika from Settings > Payments (or select Manage from the row's three-dot menu ) any time you need to rotate credentials, switch environments or adjust cart limits. Submit stays disabled until you change a field on the form.

You can issue refunds for Paratika orders directly from the order details page in Nevuto Admin. If an order has not yet passed end-of-day settlement, Nevuto automatically falls back to a same-day void (VOID) when processing the refund.

To stop offering Paratika at checkout without deleting your credentials, turn off Enable payment status and click Submit, or open the three-dot menu on the Paratika row in Settings > Payments and select Deactivate. Choosing Delete from the three-dot menu removes the saved Paratika configuration from your store. Deactivating or deleting Paratika only affects new checkouts and does not cancel or refund past orders.
