What is Etsy?
Etsy is a global marketplace for handmade, vintage, craft and one-of-a-kind products. With more than 90 million active buyers, it's the go-to destination for shoppers looking for jewellery, home décor, art prints, personalised gifts and small-batch goods. If your catalogue fits Etsy's creative niche, listing there alongside your own Nevuto storefront is one of the fastest ways to reach a global, design-led audience.
How Nevuto handles Etsy
- Nevuto connects to Etsy through Etsy's official Open API using OAuth — no API keys to copy and no scripts to install.
- Once connected, your Nevuto products can be pushed to your Etsy shop as live listings, and orders placed on Etsy flow back into your Nevuto admin so you fulfil them from a single dashboard.
- Inventory is kept in sync — when a unit sells on either side, the available stock updates everywhere automatically.
- You can disconnect at any time; Nevuto stops syncing immediately and your existing Etsy listings stay live on Etsy.
Connect Etsy to your Nevuto store
Before you start, make sure you already have an active Etsy shop with billing details on file. Etsy's own listing fees and seller policies still apply once you connect.
- Log in to your Nevuto admin panel.
- Go to Settings → Marketplaces.
- Click Add marketplace.
- Select Etsy from the list.
- On the Etsy setup screen, click Connect to Etsy.
- You'll be redirected to Etsy to authorize Nevuto. Sign in with your Etsy seller account and approve the requested permissions.
- After authorizing, Etsy redirects you back to Nevuto and the connection is marked Active.
Once connected, head to your product list to choose which items to publish to Etsy.
Test that it's working
- Open Settings → Marketplaces and confirm Etsy shows the Connected status.
- Publish a single test product to Etsy and check that it appears in your Etsy shop within a few minutes.
- Place a low-value test order on the Etsy listing — it should appear in your Nevuto Orders screen with the Etsy channel label.
Troubleshooting
- "Authorization failed" after clicking Connect to Etsy: Etsy returned an error during OAuth. Most often this is because the Etsy shop is suspended, on vacation mode, or not yet fully onboarded. Open your Etsy seller dashboard, resolve any pending steps, then retry.
- Products won't publish to Etsy: Etsy requires certain fields (category, materials, who made it, when it was made). Open the product in Nevuto, complete the Etsy-specific fields, and republish.
- Orders aren't showing in Nevuto: orders can take up to a few minutes to sync. If they don't appear after 15 minutes, disconnect and reconnect Etsy from the Marketplaces settings — this refreshes the OAuth token.
- "This connection has expired": Etsy access tokens are time-limited. Click Reconnect on the Etsy card to re-authorize.
